What breed shows are
Breed shows bring together horses of one breed to be judged on conformation, movement and performance. They are also major meeting places for breeders and owners.
Well-known examples
The All American Quarter Horse Congress in Ohio, the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show in Arizona, and the World Percheron Congress, which moves between host locations. Friesian studbook inspections (keurings) evaluate horses for breeding.
Before you go
Breed shows are run by independent associations. Check the organizer’s website for current dates and spectator information.
